FALL in Love

Pumpkin Bars
2 C Flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking pwdr
4 eggs
1 can pumpkin (15 or 16 oz)
1 1/2 C sugar
1 C oil
Stir together dry ingredients (except sugar). In a separate bowl combine eggs, pumpkin, sugar & oil. Beat well. Add dry ingredients - beat to combine. Spread mixture in 9x13 greased and floured baking dish. Bake 350 for 35 -40 min. Cool and then frost.( randi's recipe)

Frosting
1 3oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 C pwdr sugar
Combine first 3 ingredients, mix well until light and fluffy then gradually add powdered sugar, beating until very smooth. Spread on cool pumpkin cake.

Oh I dont like or eat sweets! Ya right I wish that was the truth. I am sure I will have those bars made and ate before tomorrow is over. You know me always excited to try an easy yummy recipe.
Do you want to do the turkey trot? Lisa was talking with me about it today. I think we all should. Why not? Whats it going to hurt. Just improve my buns.

I make these bars just about everyother week around this time of year! They are heaven!

Glad you liked them! George gets so excited for me to make these come the fall. For some reason I feel weird about pulling out the can of pumpkin stuff anytime before September. Anyway, looks like they're a hit! And it looks like you guys had a great birthday.

I am going to try that recipe! I will need everyone out of the house so I can concentrate because I seriously can not bake, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I'm a little worried about the gradual pouring of the powdered sugar- here goes nothing.

I love anything that has pumpkin! I am so excited for fall and that I can make all these yummy desserts. Tyler doesn't like pumpkin but he allows me to make it this time of year!
