Yesterday we went to the USC-UCLA game, we had to say goodbye to the Baker family since Sam is a senior. We have been tailgating with them over the last 5 or so years, and it has been so fun to see Sam play! Dave(Sam's Dad) and Willie's dad went to law school together, and work together on the Arena Football League. It was freezing and windy but we bundled Myles up like he was going to the North pole. Donna an I sure enjoyed the Kettle corn and Peanut M&M's combo while Bill and Willie rejoiced over the Victory. So, I usually don't write that much because I figure the picture tells the story, however, in this case it clearly doesn't! After the game we went to the "Papadakas Taverna", a Greek restaurant where a lot of SC fans go after the game. Bill kinda said " Oh its alot of fun.. you'll like it" since Donna and I weren't that Jazzed on Greek food. Moving on. So we get there, and let's just say it was literally like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". We walk in, and the whole restaurant is singing and dancing. They throw and break plates, go crazy. The breaking of china was just the intro. What followed throughout the meal was a belly dancer, a violinist, a tap dancer, and an opera singer! They do the works. I wish everyone could witness this production. The best is that they were busy when we showed up, they said they had a VIP table for us...needless to say it was the waiting area. I have not laughed that hard in a long time. At the end they turned the lights down and played "Conquest" and "Fight On" (USC's fight songs) very loud. Pretty much everyone in the restaurant was an SC fan, so the place went crazy!
In summary, I'm not a huge fan of grape leaves, Myles saw his first belly dancer and last but not least USC is going to the Rose Bowl. Sorry Willie I'm not as excited as you, that means our trip to AZ is cut short. We have to leave the 31st... GOOOOOOOOOOOO Trojans :(

Wow! What a fun football day! We will have to plan a football game for our hubs to participate in when we are down. Or they can plan it. We need to get plans rolling right now since you are down only a few days!
hahaha that's the best story ever. I'm so jealous of your fun night, you have no idea! I watched the whole game cooped up in the back room by myself again. They never let me down. HERE WE COME ROSEBOWL! Except i'm so sad your leaving, how bout you just stay! Love myles' outfit and i miss him so much, and of course you and willie too!

Myles is now 1-0 for USC-ucla games. When he is as old as me I hope his record is 48-0. I hope the Myler sees his Trojans beat the little bRuins and every year. And during the 4 years he plays for the Trojans he catches several TD passes and intercepts several passes (he will play both ways of course). Pete (Little Pete as you call him) will be in his 28 year coaching the Trojans. Myles will wait until after his mission to play bulking up to about 6'2", 220 solid muscle and run like the wind.
By the way have you told everyone that the first song Myles heard within hour of his birth was "Fight On!"...his favorite Grandpa (sorry Bryon)made sure of that!
Lets all go back to Papadakis soon, maybe while celebrating a Rose Bowl victory!
Fight On,
Grandpa Bill
Love the Grandpa entry. I had in mind more that Myles would be auditioning for "so you think you can dance", after his mission of course.
Ha-Ha! Love the picture and the story...sounds like you guys had yourselves a FUN Sat. night. Wasn't it you guys we were with when we went to that breakfast place on Sunset and they were really busy but told us they had VIP seating it turned out it was in the very back in what looked like a janitor room with a vacuumn cleaner and everything...we opted to wait and sit at a normal table! I was thinking of that when I read your entry. YAY! Go Trojans! I loved the pics of Myles in his North Pole outfit! Miss you guys!
Tag! You're it. Look at my blog...
What a fun day! That greek restaraunt seemed interesting. I love the close up picture of Myles on the side of your blog. What a cute face!
