A Mother’s Midnight Prayer
Help me remember, when I feel it’s a chore,
The time will come when I will hold him no more.
Asleep on my chest, the crib refused,
The blanket, the pacifier, gone unused.
What better place is there to lay his head,
Than against my heart, my arms his bed?
For infants grow up and leave us behind
With only memories left to remind.
Of midnight waking and predawn rocking,
Of soft helpless babies unable to sleep.

I wanted to clarify I didn't write this. I found it on the blog of a site set up as a memorial for a young LDS mother who was murdered in the church parking lot sunday by her husband.she left behind two small boys. Makes one stop and smell the roses and cherish each precious moment even when we have a bad day with a silly insignificant mishap.You know my buz word PERSPECTIVE

Okay, so I was thinking about you the other day because I was trying to remember if it was you that dated/liked a boy by the last name Worthen...was that you or am I totally confused. Anyways I will tell you the story if it was you, otherwise you are probably just as confused as I am right now! Wow, did any of that make sense?

That poem is so sweet & sad that your Mom posted! That girl that died served as a sister missionary in my ward when I was in high school. We loved her. She had the prettiest voice.

I LOVE your Christmas pics. Looks like Myles had so much fun his first Christmas. He is such a happy kid! And my FAVORITE is you in your Christmas pjs. You are looking so skinny too! And I was so sad to read that poem your mom posted. It brought tears to my eyes. That lady was Nicolle's babysitter growing up.
Anyways, thanks for being such a great blogger! When can our boys get together for a play date? Braden wants to learn how to do that stunt!
